Method and assumptions

Choose a session to load the amounts that its published consumables table states unambiguously. Rows with a range, optional route, incompatible units or no usable pack price remain listed as omissions. You may enter the quantities actually used, but moving a row into the priced part requires the same chemical form and the same unit as its price record. Stock and diluted working solution are not interchangeable quantities.

The calculation is quantity consumed ÷ quantity in the priced pack × pack price × sessions. It reports the lower and upper dated price estimates separately. A litre of concentrate used over many sessions contributes only the fraction consumed; buying a whole bottle today is a different budgeting question. Equipment, delivery and other omitted costs are not included.

A 100 g use from a 1,000 g pack consumes one tenth of its value. At an illustrative £10 pack price that is £1 per run, or £3 for three runs. This arithmetic example is not a current supplier quote. The interface’s actual price records retain their checking dates and link back through the planner to the recorded listings.

A zero-priced omission does not become free. Read the missing-lines list before treating the result as a budget, and keep the original assumptions with the export or notebook entry. Ambiguous multi-size retail ranges are deliberately unavailable for automatic arithmetic because the low pack price and the high pack size cannot be paired independently.
