Change one variable and examine the direction the cited teaching table supports. The interface never generates ingredient masses, a target pH or a development time. Its name describes an exercise in formulation reasoning, not an automatic recipe generator.

Increasing bromide illustrates the difference. The qualitative arrow says development is restrained and fog can be suppressed. It does not supply a universal concentration, a guaranteed exposure-index loss or a way to recover that loss by adding another reagent. Those would be additional claims requiring evidence for the particular formulation and material.

A blank relationship in the source table remains unpredicted. Increasing sulfite has several roles, including preservation and solvent action; calling it simply a preservative loses the image consequence. Superadditivity belongs to documented agent pairs under particular conditions, not to every pair of reducing agents. The tool therefore returns prose with its constraints rather than an invented graph of exact film response.

To turn an idea into a legitimate experiment, identify a published parent formula, give the variant its own version code, state the one changed variable and the reason, and retain the parent as the control. Perform the hazard assessment before preparing it. Record the actual quantities and processing conditions, then distinguish the predicted direction from the measured result. Use the local notebook and the printable formula-version worksheet for that record.

Read the teaching method and its sources. Keep your inputs, the displayed assumptions and the result together; a result detached from its conditions cannot be checked.
